Thank God for the weekend. There has been so much going on between my fiancee's son and work and everything. One day last week I lost a whole day of work because of my fiancee's son being in trouble again. That man has a black cloud just hanging over his head. I would think that he would realize at some point that what he does affects not just his life but his father's and mine as well. It makes me crazy.
My daughter got a new car. Her Saab had just too many problems and so she had to get something else. It is an Infinity G20 a 1996 I think. I can't wait to see the pictures she is supposed to take for me. I am excited for her.
My son just got back from the field, he was out there for several weeks and he called yesterday and he sounded so tired. I remember those days. I would be home and his father would be out in the field. I really hated that. I do sometimes miss the military life though, crazy as it sounds. I don't miss moving every couple of years though. Well I guess I should go for now. It is time for bed I have to go to work tomorrow so i better get some sleep. Hope you all had a good weekend and I will be back soon.

Going crazy
Well here it is the 13th of September. This has been an interesting few days. We have had a pipe burst and it is in a very difficult place to get to and not just because it is in the slab either. It is going to be a whole day project for the plumbers. Thank god for insurance, we have a policy that will cover this so that takes some of the stress out of it. We haven't had hot water for 2 days. Having to heat water to wash with is not a fun thing to do but I can't wash certain parts of my body with cold water. I think you ladies can understand that, lol. It just seems like when it rains its pours. The last few days it has been one thing or another but the worst is the water leak. Tomorrow it will be fixed and tomorrow night I will take a nice soaking hot bath.
I had someone ask where my son got married, well he and his wife actually got married in front of a judge in GA. They are both military and they were going to do it closer to the end of the month and I was going to be there however because of their schedules and such they decided to do it the 31st of August. Yes I was dissappointed that I couldn't be there but they are going to have a reception when my son gets back from Iraq (his second tour). I will be there for that and they have asked me down for Thanksgiving. I am planning on being there for that and am so excited and looking forward to it. Will definately let everyone know how that goes. I am excited that I have a daughter-in-law and I do chat with her online and enjoy our conversations. Can't wait to meet her. My youngest and her get along great so that is good. My middle daughter is still feeling her out. I do understand that and know that it will be fine. I think she is kinda watching out for her big brother which I think is great.
My middle daughter has to have some surgery in December so I will be going there to be with her to help her recover. I am glad she wants her mom there. I don't get to see any of my children any where as much as I would like. It is strange haveing grown up kids. I sure don't feel old enough for this to be happening but I have checked my birth certificate and I definately am old enough. Well it is thundering outside and I have to get dinner out of the oven and go pick up my honey from the airport. I just kinda needed to vent a little and get rid of some of the stress. Been awhile
Well it has been a couple of weeks. I am finally through the worst of the rewritting policies. I hope I never have to do that again. I still don't quite have them done but there isn't much I can do about that.
Well my son got married on the 31st of August. He and his wife want me to come down for Thanksgiving and I am trying to make that happen. I can't wait to meet my daughter-in-law.
My youngest was here for about 10 days in August and she has grown up so much. I still find it hard to believe my "baby" is 18. She asked me to stitch her a bookmark and I am working on that and my other daughter would like one too so I will be working on that too. I have about 4 projects going on right now. Lets see if I can get them all done, LOL. I am thinking I would like to make my son and his wife a wedding sampler. I haven't ever done anything like that so we will see what happens.

Update
I am takeing some time to update everyone on what has been going on. First my daughter Melissa is coming to visit on Monday. I am so excited. Also,the last week have been very rough. The main insurance company I wrote insurance through has gone "belly up" and I have to rewrite over 100 policies into other companies before the 23 of this month. Today I was so abusy I didn't even get lunch and had to stop and get something on the way home. Needless to say I was extremely hungry. After I ordered my food at Micky D's I saw that they had cool kid meal toys, Hummer cars for the boys, should have ordered a boy kid meal, lol. I have been so busy that I haven't even been able to cross stich much at all. I am doing a frog picture and I don't even have one leg done. I am in withdrawl, lol. I will even be working tomorrow which is Saturday, I rarely do that. I save my evenings and weekends for my family. However because of what is going on I have to work. I even stay late. Maybe I can get my daughter to help out. I know she will be so bored that she may not want to, lol. Well atleast next August if all goes well I will have a good month. I will keep you all updated and let you know how it goes and if I ever get done rewriting all of the policies. I know I will, I just feel like I am running in place. Well, I brought some work home with me so I need to get started on it. I will write more later. Love you guys!

What a couple of weeks
Just got back a few days ago from the trip from hell. The beginning was nothing but problems, vehicle stuff and like that. The middle was good got to see my mom and brothers. Didn't get to see my kids or my sister but hope to soon!! The end was just total hell. Got stuck in the Allentown airport, left 4 hours late from there, got stuck in the Cleveland airport then to boot, got stuck in Houston . It took 2 days to fly home. What a trip. But now on to the good stuff. My son called me this weekend, he is getting married! Was I blown away by that. I am so looking forward to meeting my soon to be daughter in law. Hope it happens soon but I guess over Labor Day he is going to see his dad in WV. Hope I get to see them both soon. I am excited. I don't know what to say even now about it. I can hear in his voice that he is happy. I will post more on this as I get the details.

What a day
Well it has been a bit since I have been here. It has been crazy.
My boyfriend is out of town and will be back tomorrow night. I have had four days of "aloneness" if that is even a word, LOL.It has been one thing after another. For example, on Saturday my boyfriend had to go out of town on business so we get up at like 5:30 am so he can get ready and be at the airport ahead of time like you are supposed to. I get him there and come home, turn on the tv and think, wow I can watch craft shows all day and not feel guilty! 15 minutes before his flight is scheduled to take off the phone rings and he tells me I have to go get him he isn't going. I am like what?! Why not?? Well this dumb a** in security broke part of his CPAP machine and he needs this to breathe at night or he could stop breathing and die. I go get him at the airport and luckily he has a spare part here at home, how that happened well who knows but thank god he did. So then we spend the next 3 1/2 hours trying to rebook his flight so he can get to his business meeting. Well imagine the fact that 2 airlines merged and their computers are not connected to each other so they can't "talk" toe ach other. Well we go back to the airport and get the flight handled and he tales me to IHOP for brunch (that was a good thing,LOL). He finally got out of here and got to where he needed to be. And then Monday came. Well it was a sucky day but hey I managed untill I decided to check plane tickets for my daughter to come visit. I had planned on getting the ticket when I got paid but thought let me just check some flights out. Well everytime I checked on a flight the lowest fair changed and it went from $283 to $370 to $407 to $463 well imagine my panic when that was happeneing and I could find a fair for the prices I had found the few days before. I was having a hard time coming up with the $283!!! Well I persisted and managed to find one again for the original price i had found, well I had to get it now before I lost it again, that is for sure. So I purchased it hoping my pay would be here Tuesday. Thank God it was so that was handled but I was sweating it. Then today I get a call from one of the companies I write my business through and apparently one on my new client might be trying to commit fraud, basically file a false claim. They bought a policy on the 7th and on the 10th someone allegedly hit them and ran while their vehicle was unattended but they didn't file a police report. BIG RED FLAGS here. Then I get a call from a bank and have to go inspect 2 cars that they repoed from a mutual client. I think i am not gonna get out of bed tomorrow. If this week gets any better I will run away from home. I am just kidding there but I think I have had enough.

I have been lazy....
I have been lazy about this lately. Sorry guys.
I got my bookmark done and sent out. It was fun to do.
It is only Tuesday and feels like it has been a long week already. It is so slow at work that if it gets any slower I feel like I will be going backwards.
This has definatly been a stressful week. I am looking forward to going back east and seeing my family. Although it is not really going to be a vacation but I really don't mind that fact.
Atleast the last day or two it hasn't been so hot. We are suppose to get some thunder storms. YES!!! I know most of you are thinking I am crazy when I say that but we don't get much rain or storms and it is so enjoyable to go sit out on the back porch and just watch. I am sure my mom remembers my being a little girl and not so little girl and being terrified when storms came but after I lived in OK for a couple of years that cured me.
Well I will close for now because there isn't anything that exciting going on right now so maybe I will go watch a movie. Yes Gretchen maybe Lake Placid again!!

The Usual
It doesn't seem that anything interesting is going on. It has been so hot in the 100's for about the last week. Thank God for air conditioning.
I am stitching everynight lately. Right now the main focus I am stitching is the bookmark for the exchange I am in. It is blackwork but in green. Hopefully I will remember to take a picture of it when I am done and will post it. I have another bookmark I am making for myself as well since I am suddenly doing alot of reading. I am even trying to read a little bit everynight. My kids keep giving me idea on reading so I am trying, I haven't always liked to read but am finding that I am liking it more now that I am getting older, lol. I think my mom will appreciate that and my older brother too. I used to destroy his books when I was little. I guess they took attention away from me!

Weather
It has been over 100 degrees this whole last week. Yesterday it was 105. It has been too hot to do anything except lay around.
I have been stitcheing a little. I have 3 WIP. I am on the border of the Kokopelli I am working on and I have joined a bookmark exchange so have just barely started that. I have started a sampler but am not sure I like it so don't know what I am gonna do with it or about it.
I am about halfway through the third Harry Potter book and my son said that I should read the book The Da Vinci Code because it is better than the movie. I am gonna read it. In July I will be going back east for a visit! Am so ready for that trip.
Have gotten all my paperwork at the office caught up, finally, LOL so am finding otheer stuff to keep me busy. It is very slow at the office right now. Summertime so people on vacations and stuff so not to much insurance being bought. Oh well.
Hope everyone is well and will write more soon.

Magnets
Well, today I had a very pleasent surprise. When I checked my email I had a package. It was from my friend, Dawn. She got my name in a magnet exchange and she knew the perfect thing to stitch. Eeyore. She made me 2 eeyore magnets. I love them, couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks, so much.

This past weekend on Saturday we went to the cat show here. That was a new one for me, I had never been to one before. I was surprised to see how many different versions of Charlie there are. It was kind of neat.
Now the girls, Gretchen and Melissa, have me reading the Harry Potter books. I see what you mean about giving information not in the movies. I finished the first one and now have read the first 4 chapters of the second. You two have me hooked!
I am stitching a Kokopelli and am thinking about trying to do another quilt hopefully this one won't be a disaster.

Newbie at this

I gained an interest in this from several people and have thought that i would like to combine two fo my favorite things. Cross stitching and keeping in touch with my family and friends. I am hoping that this will be a way to make it easier. I hope that you my family and friends will enjoy this as much as I hope to. I am not sure how this is going to work but I want to try and see. I love and miss all you guys and am looking forward to this.
