Pictures

I thought I might let you guys see the snow that kept us in PA a couple of extra days after my mom got sick. We got 6 inches in about 5 hours. I took these from the living room of our house in PA. I love it but I am not used to the cold anymore because I live in the desert, lol. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! and a safe holiday!

Stranded

Well this has been a week for sure. As I told you before I was out here in PA visiting my family. I got to see my girls and such. Well we had some really bad weather headed our way so we decided on the 16th to head out to Wilkes Barre a day early so we wouldn't get stranded from the weather. I decided to call my family to let them know. I was going to start with my mom and go from there. I called my mom to let her know and instead of her I got her friend Jane. She told me she had come to give my mom communion and found her blue. Her lips were blue her fingers were blue, and she was barely responsive. I told her give me a minute and I would call her back. I told Don, I am going to NY you coming? When I said that he knew something was up and I told him what was going on. We were out the door. My mom refused to go to the hospital till I got there. I was so mad that she did that but I got there we got the ambulance there well actually it ended up being two of them and a life support unit. She had said no lights and sirens but when they came we had lots of lights and sirens. She wasn't thrilled with that but that was the least of it. I rode in the ambulance with her and got her checked into the hospital. The admissions papers said respiratory failure. She had us all scared for sure. She got out of the hospital yesterday and is ok now thank god but we ended up stranded here for a few extra days because of the snow. Oh well. I ended up with a heck of a head cold too. I am starting to cough and it feels like I may be getting bronchitis, nice huh. But that is a small price to pay except that they diagnosed my mom with that in the hospital and look at what went on with her. I am not worried about that though. She has COPD so respiratory stuff will cause her worse problems. Thank god she is ok and thank god her friend had come to give her communion or who knows what may have happened. Well I guess I had better get off of here and finish getting my stuff ready to leave tomorrow. We are heading back to El Paso. I am going to have so much work sitting on my desk. That's ok though, it wont be as much as usual because I had my phones forwarded to my cell while we were gone this time so it will just be mail mostly and not a machine full of messages. Yay!! Well guys thanks for stopping by and listening! Love you all!

Update

I updated this on the 16th only to get off the computer to get ready to head out because of weather and called my mom to let her know only to find out that she was very ill. Her friend came over to give her communion only to find her lips and fingernails bluer than blue and barely responsive. I of course immediately headed out to Addison where she lives. She refused to go to the hospital until I got there because she knew I was on my way. I got there and we called the ambulance. She was better, she had color and was talking but being way to stubborn. I rode with her in the ambulance and got her checked in the hospital. She has been there since Tuesday and they say she will be released tomorrow. Thank God but it seems we almost lost her. If her friend hadn't gotten there to give her communion we don't know what might have happened. God was most definitely watching out for her. I spent all day yesterday at the hospital with her and she was eating and she did eat more than she had in ages. They thought she had some pneumonia but found out with tests and xrays that is was severe bronchitis. She has emphysema and COPD. She is ok from what we are told and we are working on a care plan for her. I had to head out because of severe weather headed our way. Am not totally comfortable being here in PA instead of up there because she is not out of the hospital yet but since I have been there and talking with her the last day or two I do know she is better so I am here. I hope the severe weather is not so severe that we can't get out of here because my office is not manned either even if my phones are forwarded to me. I know I have lots and lots of mail and other stuff I have to deal with. I will keep you guys updated.

Its Winter

Well I have been here in PA for almost a week. I have been enjoying my tiny vacation. I got to see my girls. Wish I could see my son but that will happen when it happens. Melissa is due June 25th. She is already showing. She has such a cute baby bump, lol. I saw her ultrasound and we kidded her that the baby has a Mohawk. It looks like it. Can't wait for the next ultrasound. She is a little anemic, but she always has been. So far we are not super concerned but we are a bit worried. They are going to see what the blood work says and then decide how to handle it. Gretchen is doing well too. We had a couple of issues about the visit but none of them had to do with the girls at all. Their step-mom had car issues and then one of the other cars had the same issue a few hours later so they couldn't meet us halfway to drop the girls off to meet us. Sol we drove 160 miles both ways to pick them up. Of course on Monday there were still issues so we had to drive them all the way back again. Lots of wasted time concerning the girls visit but I got to see them and that is what is important. Didn't get much stitching done but that's ok the girls are much more important and I don't get to see them much at all. I will get some done today though. The weather is kind of nasty here too. Don is concerned we may get stuck here. Oh Darn, (evil laugh). He keeps he wants to leaven today to go to the airport. I am not liking that idea. All wasted money and stuff for that. I think we should give it a little more time this morning before goes nuts. We did an experiment this trip and forwarded my office phones to my cell. It wasn't too bad. Don didn't believe when I told him the amount my phones ring. Maybe once in awhile he will listen to me hehehe. Or not lol. Oh well, I think I will go have a cup of coffee and check the weather channel out. See whats going on. Will update you all later. Thanks for stopping by and checking me out. Love you guys.

Vacation

Well I am getting ready to go out of town for a week. I am so excited. I will get to see both my daughters. Melissa is pregnant and so this is kind of neat. I haven't seen her since she found out and she is starting to show. I will see Gretchen as well. She will be on vacation from college or actually Christmas break. I won't see Tim but the girls will be able to tell me how he is because they saw him at Thanksgiving.
I am getting my stitching ready for while I am gone. I am working on a gift for Don. I am hoping to get it done while we are up there. I will be able to do it and get it done right under his nose. Hehehehe I am working on a couple of things right now. I hope to get the one finished and most of the other one done. I am told it will probably snow while we are up there so that will be nice too. I will be freezing my but off that's cool, things even out. I get to see my girls and snow and I am a little cold, lol.
I even get a short work week. Two days and then off I go. I will see my mom for a couple of days as well. I did finally get my tree up in my office. For some reason it took 3 days to get it up and decorated, lol. Not sure why I just couldn't get it done. I tested the lights before I put them on the tree and they all lit and blinked so I put them on the tree and plugged them in and of course one string just decided not to blink anymore. The garland that I had on my tree last year that went all the way around the tree this year didn't and I can't figure that one out so had to go get some other garland. Oh well it is done and up and now I have to finish the one at the house. Got the tree itself up but still have to get the decorations on it. Hopefully today. Now I am off to go do my laundry. Hope you all have a good rest of the weekend.

Quilts and Stitching

Well I started the Vermillion Stitchery January Snowman this week. Didn't get alot done, mostly to top of the hat. I am glad I got it started though. I have had so much stuff going on that I haven't been able to stitch much. I have been disappointed that I haven't been able to get much stitching done. I also have it down to two baby quilt patterns. I need to get it down to one. I will soon. I have to get started. I have two quilts to make. I am excited about it and I am still looking for baby birth samplers. This is going to be a busy year. The most important thing is the baby quilts. I want them done more than anything else. I have so much going on in my head, lol. I will get everything done though.
Yesterday I finally got my first call with STARS. My trainer called and told me we had a scheduled case and he would call me when it was confirmed. He called me and then I was almost there and he called me back and asked me how many I had been to. I told him that it was my first and he said well we have to at the same time pick one and I did and he said you have to do it yourself. I was like huh!? Well I got there got started and he told me I did very good that I was ready to go on my own. I was like nope I need my other two observations and the one that I get observed. He told me that I did everything right and I could go on my own but I don't think so, LOL. It was an experience but I am psyched. It is a really good feeling knowing that you helped someone like that. And I didn't get lost getting to the hospital, LOL.
Thanks for stopping by. Love you guys!

More News

Well today I found out that my son and his wife are also expecting. I guess next year it is going to be a busy one. His wife Faith is about 7 weeks he tells me. The last few days have been exciting. Now I have to work on 2 baby quilts. I sure hope I can fit some stitching in between all of this. I guess there will be 2 birth samplers to do as well. I guess I should be finding patterns instead of playing on here, LOL. I will keep you posted as to all of this fun!! Hope everyone is well and thanks for visiting.

NEWS!!

There has been lots of stuff going on and had to put my stitching aside for a bit. I think things are settled down a bit and am gonna get back to stitching.
I do have to start a quilt though. A baby quilt. My daughter is pregnant! I am going to be a grandma. It seems a little weird to say but I am excited. She is just about a month. I have been looking at baby quilt patterns and birth samplers. If anyone has any cute quilt or birth sampler patterns let me know. I am looking for the perfect one.
Melissa is having such a hard time with morning sickness. And of all things she is craving mashed potatoes, lol. I guess I should send her some. She doesn't care what kind just that they are mashed. I am so excited.

Picture of finish

This is the finish I was talking about. I am looking at how I want to frame it. I want to put this in my office. There are some days that it so fits. I am getting ready to start one of the vermillion stitchery's snowmen. The January - Father Time one. I have gotten the stuff together except for the material. I amtrying to finish some of the other things I have as well. I am doing a little here and a little there. I am trying to quit being a serial starter. Looking at this picture I think I need to iron this one. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I was talking to my sister the other day and she said she did a bookmark awhile back. I am hoping I can get her to finish it. She says she has to put a backing on it and maybe I can get her to try some more stuff. I guess we will see. I sure hope so. Hope you all like this. I do and can't wait to get it framed.

I Hate Politics!

People who know me know that I am not one to talk about politics and get into political debates. Now before any of you have a hissy fit and decide you don't like what I am saying, THIS IS MY OPINION. You don't have to agree with it any more than I have to agree with you. I have been like everyone else hearing and watching the stuff on tv. I get more amazed everyday. I keep hearing about Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter. Ok people, she is a 17 year old that is pregnant and currently unwed. This family is no different than your family or mine except that they are now in the public eye. How many of us heard of Sarah Palin before John McCain picked her as his running mate. The fact that the daughter is pregnant well it is a shame. She is marrying the baby's father though so hey she and he are trying to do the best that they can. Also, there are so many other unwed teenage parents so what makes these guys so special. Is it because we need to say what a horrible thing this is or is it because we think it is a way to knock her out of the race. You know it doesn't even matter if we are republican or democrats why is it that everyone is so hateful? One thing that I try to remember and I think everyone should. I read this quote someplace and to be honest can't remember who said it but it is so true. "Before we judge someone, remember our own last mistake." Enough said.

Checking In

The last week has been interesting for sure. Work is totally insane. I have to re-write approx 58 homeowners policies. One of my companies sold all their Texas and Florida policies to another company. I had a client call me to tell me that she was totally upset with the way the new company had talked to her and treated her. Unfortunately I had had dealings with this company before. They have a branch type office here in El Paso and when I had to deal with them a couple of years ago I was totally disgusted. They were rude, nasty and tried to steal policies. Well oh gee I have to deal with them again, jeez. Well needless to say I called them to discuss this woman's policy. And to no surprise they were rude, nasty and quite frankly the person I talked to had no idea what she was doing. She didn't even know some basic information that you learn when you are studying to get your insurance license. I am moving every single policy that I possibly can. So I haven't been able to get much stitching done at all. I am disappointed in that but I will get to soon I am sure. Well my BF and I had a chance to go out of town for the weekend. We went to Ruidoso, NM and it was so nice to just relax. We went to Willemans to eat. I had the best steak I have had in a very long time. It was so nice to get it cooked the way I asked for it. It was fantastic. We got back to El Paso and we had a severe thunderstorm and unbelievable rain. I wanted to go sit out on the back porch but the lightning was just too close and felt that maybe that wouldn't be a good idea. Well it is Sunday and I have to go back to work tomorrow. I am not looking forward to all the work but oh well we gotta work. I will close for now and thanks for popping in to read what I have to say. I will check back in soon.

I'm Back

Well I got back a couple of days ago. It was a good trip. It was alot of work as well though. My daughter did great and is recovering very well. She handled the surgery well. I must say that this was a "trip". For the first few days she was in alot of pain which was to be expected. She took her pain medication like clockwork for the first few days and then starting cutting back a bit. She had to wear a sling for the first few weeks and of course she did. One of the purposes of wearing the sling when you are out and about is so that people be careful of you. Usually when you see someone with a sling on then you watch out well in a couple of cases that didn't happen. We went out for dinner, there was 5 of us. Well the owner of the restaurant was going from table to table asking how things were. Well we had Gretchen at the end of the table because for one she is left handed and that way no one would be bumping her while we ate well the owner came to our table and what did he do?!! he patted her on her back on the left side and jostled her I thought she was gonna faint. She goes that's the bad he arm!!! Off he goes and then 10 minutes later comes back and does the same thing. Needless to say we were out of there quickly before anything else happened. My daughter goes, umm hello I am wearing a sling!!! I felt so bad for her. She took her pain medicine for sure then. And also on 2 different days I had to take her to appointments. That was alot of driving for sure. Wore my butt out, lol. We had fun though for sure. On the first appointment we met her sister and friend and the 4 of us had lunch. That was nice and the second appointment was fun too we had lots of time to jam in the car and talk. She starts physical therapy tomorrow I think she said so that is good too.
Also yesterday was my birthday. I had a nice day. Lots of peace and quiet and just vegging at home. Don got me a used laptop for my birthday. It is nice. I wanted one so bad because when we go away I need access to my work in case something happens and the second week of taking care of Gretchen because I didn't have one I had not internet access and couldn't even check my office email so when I got back here I had an ungodly amount of email, lol. I guess Don realized what I was talking about this trip. If he is with me well he has one and I can use his if I need to but he was back here the second week of my trip so it was crazy. Well now I can just take mine with me and if I need to get online all I will need is a hot spot. I am so happy. I am actually using it right now to post. I will probably get rid of my desktop if this works out like I am hoping. I will probably take my desktop to my office pretty soon I will need a second computer at my office.
Well other than that not much happening. I did get some stitching done but not as much as I had hoped to because I had so much going on while taking care of my daughter. One of the hardest things was when we got there we found that the refrigerator had gone out. We had to get that repaired and then the seal on the dishwasher was bad. It was just one thing after another. Oh well such is life I guess. Hope you all have been well and I will post again soon. Love you guys!!

Trip

Well I leave on Tuesday morning for 2 weeks. My daughter is finally having her surgery. I have been going crazy at work trying to get caught up so I don't leave too much that I have to worry about. I will say though that this trip I will be doing a bunch of stuff outside of my comfort zone. I will have to drive from PA to Hagerstown, MD and then later in the trip I will have to go to Baltimore and then to WV then back to PA. The Baltimore to WV to PA is going to be all in the same day so this is going to be interesting. I will have my daughter with me for the Baltimore to WV part but WV back to PA will be by myself. Thank god for my tomtom, lol. (only slightly giggling) I am not sure how I am feeling about this. I have no sense of direction which is shy BF got me the tomtom. This will be an adventure for sure. I get back on the 30th of July and then m;y birthday is on Saturday. I didn't realize that it is on the weekend this year so maybe I will get to do something for a change. We will see. I know the couple of days after I get back will be busy for sure and I will probably be glad for the weekend. I bet that there will be lots for me to do. Hopefully I will be able to catch up on a bit of stitching too. I am hoping!! I left a few things up there so maybe I will get one of those worked on. I will be taking atleast one project from here to work on on the plane. Don and I are leaving on the same day to go but not at the same time or plane so I will get there first and have to wait for a bit for him. We had a heck of a time with the tickets this time because I will be there for 2 weeks and he will be there for 1 and we could get to going trip coordinated unfortunately. Gotta go eat so I will update more when I get back or if I think of something else in the next couple of days I will add something. Thanks for reading and love you guys.

Hello

Well it has been awhile since I posted. I haven't had a chance to post the pictures from my trip. I will get to that this week. I hope. Both my girls are here visiting so I am trying to spend as much time as possible with them. Melissa is leaving in a week. Next Monday to be exact so time is short with her and Gretchen is leaving on the 6th of July so not much time there either. Work has been crazy and I haven't had time to do anything, not even much stitching. I am hoping to get some of that done this week too. We will see. I am almost done with the I can only please one person per day picture. Just have to finish the border and a couple of paperclips. I am going to get it framed and hang it in my office. I do have some "brats" as customers. Sometimes I wish I could say that to them, LOL. My brother in law had to have some emergency surgery over the weekend and his hospital stay was horrible. I mean he was in the hospital for 3 days and they wouldn't even change his bloody gown from surgery. That hospital is so lucky I wasn't there. I am hoping my sister does complain and stuff but I think that they are just grateful to have it over with. He is ok though thank god. He is home too and resting so that is what is important. I hope the rest of you are well and good and I will get those pics posted.

Out of Town

Well I thought I had better pop in and let everyone know that I will be out of town for a week. I am leaving tomorrow and will be back next Friday. I have never been to Austin and will be staying right outside of there. I am looking forward to it since I haven't been there before. The last month or so has been really stressful so I really need this. Hopefully i will be rested when I get back. I don't know how long it will last because there will be so much work here for me when I get back. Of course there always is, lol. I will let you all know how it goes when I get back.

Tupperware

On a good note. I am now a Tupperware Consultant. I will have a website soon so you can buy online from me but a couple of things have to be fixed. Someone miss wrote some of my info while getting it so that I could become registered and so when I went to do my website I couldn't and so it has taken about a week to get fixed and still isn't but should be in a few more days. When I have my site I will post it and let you all know so that you can check it out. I hope you all do. I sold Tupperware about 15 years ago give or take and needed some replacement parts and decided why not try again.
Also the way things have been lately I haven't gotten much stitching done. I am still working on a couple of things but on Valentine's Day don told me that I never stitch anything for him anymore, lol, of course most of what I stitch for him he has just laying there but that's OK I am going to stitch a little something for his birthday which is coming up so we will see what happens. I am not going to say what it is because i do think that he occasionally reads my blog and if I put it here he would definitely read it, LOL.

Been Awhile

Well it has been a bit since I posted last. Things have been a bit out of sorts since about the 17th of March. On March 17th Don finally had his hernia surgery and all went well. On the same day Gretchen had her appointment for setting up her surgery date for her Thoracic Outlet Syndrome all went well at the appointment however her father declined to go with her because"they will just tell us the same thing they told us last time". Ummm so!! It has been a year since the last time they were going to do it. Things happen and things change but I digress. Leaving from the appointment she got a bit lost and had to stop for directions. Doesn't usually happen with her she has a good sense of direction but the directions she got from her step mom didn't take into account some construction. OK happens however she got lost in downtown Baltimore, MD in a not so good part of town and she was the only white person. Can be a bit uncomfortable which it was but she stopped at a BP gas station, a busy place, to get her directions. Smart thinking except when she got into her car to get back on her way her car wouldn't start. Battery worked, lights and stuff on but wouldn't start and it didn't make any noise. UH OH. She was stuck. Called roadside assistance and they sent a tow truck only to have her towed to Pepboys. Cool except the pepboys they were sending her too was closed down and not even there anymore. The tow truck driver got her car to his garage but couldn't do anything until the next morning. OK she had to get a motel. He got her into a Quality Inn so that was good however she ended up being there 2 nights. They fixed something that wasn't wrong told her they put the parts in the trunk and didn't so she doesn't have them, wonderful. She got to my moms but when she left got about and hour and 15 minutes away and the car did the same thing it did in Baltimore. She was however where someone from my family could get to her and this time the insurance company had her towed to a dealership. Took 2 days again but the car got fixed and it was the alternator like we thought originally. She is back at her dorm and fine but this is a spring break to talk about. She is stronger for it. However there are several things that really pissed me off. First her father should have been with her in Baltimore. If I lived there I would have been. In a years time things change so especially with major surgery someone should have been there. I don't care if she is 22 years old it is a scary process for anyone. Plus had he been with her the situation would not have snowballed to what it did. The proper thing would have been fixed and the rest wouldn't have happened. Also I really really hate people that take advantage of people. It is disgusting and just shows what kind of lowlife you are. Come on a 22 year old young lady in college who needs every bit of money she has and then some. Bastard. OK sorry if the bad word offends anyone but that is nicer than what I really wanted to say. But now she is safe and home so that is what counts and I won't go into other feelings concerning how this got to where it ended up. I will have a stroke or something. I just figured I had better do a post so everyone knows I haven't forgotten about them.

In the Frame

Here it is in the frame. I think it looks pretty good. I have a couple more pictures I want to get hung up on the walls here but I have to get them framed. I can't find ready made frames for them because of the sizes so I will have to take them somewhere. Hopefully I will be able to get this office whipped into shape. I guess we will see what happens. talk to you all later!

Stuff for the office

Well I thought it would be nice to make something for my office. This only took me 2 days. It was simple. I thought it would be a nice way to say thanks to my customers when they leave my office. What do you think? I put it in a frame this morning and hung it on my door. I didn't get a picture of it yet. I will get one today and post it later. I like it. Will talk to you all soon. Love you guys!

UFO Projects

Well I got one of my unfinished projects done yesterday. I started this back in 1995. I don't know why I didn't finish it back then but it is done now. I always liked this and believe that it is true. This one says Lord, Help me to remember that nothing can happen today that you and I can't handle.
I have another one I found that I am not sure why I didn't finish either but am going to be working on too. I am sure there are allot more too but haven't come across them yet. I am not really a "serial starter" but I do have some I should finish. And I will.
I know some of you are going to hate me for this but it has been in the 70's the last couple of days. It has been so nice and making everyone not want to be at work. Now watch it will be yucky this weekend. I hope not but I hope the weather gets better for you all back east. You have been getting some really bad weather again and it is just about spring.
Timothy is back and doing good. It is so nice to have him back here. I hope that I will be able to see him soon but I know for awhile he will be really busy getting back to work and readjusting to being back here. I feel better that he is back and will feel even better when his wife gets back as well since she is still over there somewhere. Well I have a few more things to do before I can go home so I should probably do them and maybe I can sneak out early. Thanks for stopping by, I love you guys.

Day 12 Finish and IMPORTANT NEWS

First off, Welcome Home Timothy!!!! They landed this morning at Hunter and it will be about 2 hours from now that they will be at Ft. Stewert for their Welcome Home Ceremony. Thankfully they are home safe and sound. I am so excited and wish that I could be there. Unfortunately it hasnot worked out that way but the ladies at Ft. Stewert have been fantastic at letting me know what is up.
Ok, now secondly. I finished Day 12. The series is finished and looks great now all I have to do is decide for sure what to do with it and how to display it. This last day went so fast I could not believe it. It looks great too! Well for now I have to go I am too hyped up to put all I want to down but wanted to at the least get this uploeaded for all to see. Thanks for stopping by and I will post again soon. I love you guys!

Insane

For those of you who know me you know that I live in a large city of about 750,000 people and we will be getting aproximately 30,000 more over the next few years but that isn't the insane part. Nor is it that this is the second post in as many days. I have just gotten done with my lunch and I already vented in my blog on myspace but am still extremely irritated by the fact that right up the street from me is a high school, which is normal enough. What isn't atleast to me is that this high school needs to have crossing guards for the students to cross the street at lunch time and that they also have to have the traffic control devices stop traffic in all directions for atleast 1 cycle of the lights because they have not yet grasp the concept of the walk and don't walk lights. Now we as children learn how to cross the street or atleast we are supposed to. I do not understand how these kids can be so (for lack of a better word) stupid. Just today while going to get my lunch did I again as just about every day had to deal with these students who did not look in any direction except in front of them which had they opened their eyes would have seen that the don't walk hand which by the way was steady not blinking was there. What did they do you ask, well stepped right off the curb in front of me. Now since i deal with this on a daily basis I knew to stop even though I had a green light because they do this every single day. And just a half a block away you have crossing guards that have to blow a whistle and hold up a stop sign in the middle of the street so that these same students can cross the street because they apparently did not learn this skill while they were children. Now this is a daily happening and nothing is done about the fact that these kids jaywalk, step in front of cars while in and out of the crosswalk. It doesn't appear to matter to them when or how they do this and rarely do you see the police do anything about this. I also know that sometimes that the police feel that there is something more important than this however is it going to take someone getting hit by a car before they feel it is important? The can issue tickets to these kids and maybe if they or their parents had to pay one or two of these maybe they would stop and think, however I doubt it. Now I am also not so old that I do not remember being their age and feeling invincible and yes mom I do remember doing this once or twice in my life. It is just insane to me that they need crossing guards in high school to cross the street. Ok I think I feel a little better, lol. Thanks for reading you guys and I love ya.

Finished Day 11

I finished the Eleven Pipers Piping. For some reason this one seemed to go slow for me. Not sure why but it is done. I think it turned out rather nicely. I am on to day 12. i got it started actually yesterday but found I am missing one color, lol. I will go get that today on my way home from work. I checked when I started and was sure I either had or purchased all the colors for the 12 days. Don't know how I missed this one but oh well. Michaels has floss on sale this week for 4 for $1.00. I will go there and get it hopefully they will have the color or I will have to go to Hobby Lobby. this last Saturday they had the floss on sale for the same price, 4 for $1.00 but don't know if they still do. I have such a list of what I want to do whenI get done with these and don't know what I am going to do next. I am thinking that I may start the one my daughter in law gave me this idea for. She just did one that I thought was adorable and actually so did my son. It is by Pinn and it is 3 kittens, Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil. However being a cross stitcher that doesn't mean that is the one I will do and being a cross stitcher I have a list so much longer than I have time to do. My mother and I were even talking about that yesterday on the phone. Saying that someone will be going through my stuff for years afterward going yup she sure had a lot of stuff she was going to do and of course never got to. I guess I am a true cross stitcher and crafter, LOL. Well it is time for lunch and I have a couple of things I want to do before Irun out and get it so I will go for now. I will let you know when I get day 12 finsihed. love you guys.

Day 10 Finish and more

As you can see I got Day 10 finished. 10 Lords a Leaping. It seemed to go pretty quick. I am working on Day 11. I have already had to frog a bunch in it though. Needless to say I wasn't to happy. I think I must have been kind of tired when I was stitching and thats why. I will be done with the 12 Days soon though. I have been carrying a small project in my purse for when I have sit around a wait. It is an Irish Blessing. It is just a small 5 x 7 project that fits nicely in my purse. I also have in my to do pile one that my DIL did. She told me about it and I mentioned it to my son and he said it was quite cute too so I checked it out at www.123stitch.com it is See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil Kittens. It is adorable and I plan on putting that one in my purse for my waiting around stuff as soon as I finish the irish Blessing one. I am trying to get all my I really want to do stuff done. We will see how that goes. And now for the yucky stuff that has been going on. Last Monday evening I was at Walmart. I got in my car to leave and a lady backed into me and took off. I could not believe that she did that. Well it just so happened that the Walmart security guy, you know the one that drives around in the parking lot, was at the end of the row that I was in. I went down to where he was and told him that person ran into me and took off. Well off he goes after her. She comes driving back to where I was about 30mph through the parking lot. No wonder she hit someone. I don't know if she saw the security guy chasing her down or what but she gets out of her suburban and comes up to me and says "my son said I hit you! Did I hit you, I didn't see you" its like really??? Well thankfully it was today that my car went inot the shop and the insurance company was great about it but what surprised me was this was a Major's wife and he was in the car when she did this. I didn't sownload the photos from that. It wasn't too bad really but still. It really is a small dent about the size of a softball and of course all you could see on her vehicle because those things are tanks, was some red paint from my Amigo. The reason I know they are tanks is because I used to have one. It was a good vehicle but didn't need anything that big anymore. My oldest daughter found out last night she is allergic to cocoanut. She was drinking a virgin pina colada and had an allergic reaction and the only thing it could be is the cocanut becuase she has had the other stuff that was in it before. Poor thing. She can't seem to win. She had to go to the ER but she is ok. They gave her some medicine and she is okay now thank goodness. The poor thing has way to many food allergies. Well I have to go for now. Thanks for stopping by to read my stuff. I love you guys.

The Weekend

Well yesterday was Friday and I had a migraine. I didn't want to take my medicine because sometimes the migraine meds make me feel drunk. just what I need a customer to come in and think their Insurance Agent is drunk. That would be a good one, lol. Well I got home and when Don came we decided to go for a walk. We are trying to walk and get some exercise. I was hoping that when we got back that the fresh air would help well it didn't so I took some medicine ans sure enough it made me feel drunk. I layed down for awhile and slept for like an hour but wanted to get up so that I could watch Moonlight. Well it wasn't on dam it. It figures. I like vampire shows. I got up this morning and still had a little bit of the headache but we went and got some groceries and I found some cotton candy flavored milk. I haven't tried it yet but I will tomorrow. Price's makes it for breast cancer awareness. I will let you know how it tastes. i will take a picture and post it so you guys can check it out. It is even pink. Well not much else is going on tonight so I will close for now. Thanks for checking in and I love you guys.

Day 9 Finish

Well I got day 9 finished. I think it is looking good. Only 3 days to go and I am going to be starting day 10 probably tonight. It has been cold here so I have been in the mood to do these projects and I hope to do some Christmas stockings this year as well. None of my kids has one anymore their father and stepmother's family doesn't do the stocking thing which bums me out plus with my son being married he isn't there so he wouldn't have one either. He said he would like me to do one for him so I will and of course the girls will want them if their brother gets one. Anyone with children knows how that goes even when the kids get older, LOL.Hopefully I will be able to do everything I want to this year. Lately I have been in the stitching mood so hopefully it will keep up. I guess we will see. Since I am at work right now I will sign off from here before it starts to go crazy just because I am in the middle of something I really enjoy. Love you guys.

Day 8 Finish

As you can see last night I finished day 8. It turned out rather nicely I think. Now I can get started on day 9. I did have to change the blue. I couldn't get the one it was asking for so i got as close as I could. I don't think that anyone would have known but I thought I would mention it anyway, lol. I like it. At the rate I am going I should be done with all 12days by Christmas 2008. Just kidding it will be alot sooner but I seem to go in waves of getting things accomplished. I hope to get more stitching done this year than last year. My list of to do projects keeps growing and growing as I am sure everyone else's does too. Well that is all for now I will write more soon. I promise. Love you guys.

A Finish

Well I finally got got Day 7 finished. For some reason this was hard for me to get done but I finally did it. I have started day 8 and am looking forward to getting it done. Only 4 days left in the series. I am about 1/4 of the way done with day 8. I started it on Sunday. This one seems to be just going right along. However as I was just going right along I discovered that one of my colors just disappeared into thin air. needless to say I was not happy. Color 647. I was very frustrated because I had it and used it on some of the other days, it is just gone so this afternoon after work I am going to go get a few skeins so I can work on it somemore. I hate not having what I need especially if I know I had it. If that makes sense. Also what do you think of my tree I had for Christmas? We were in PA and Upstate NY celebrating with my family and we didn't have a tree so I got one. It was small but it worked, LOL. Oh well. I had a good Christmas and New Year and hope you did too.
Love you guys!

Happy New Year

Well here it is January 1, 2008. Where did this year go? I still haven't finished the 12 Days patterns. Someone asked me where I got them from. If you email me again I will let you know about how to get the patterns you are looking for. I accidentally deleted the email that you sent me before I could get the info to you. I am about finished with Day 7 though. I am not real thrilled with it but that's OK. When it is done I will post the picture. The colors are light for the material I am using. I should be done with it in the next day or so.
I know so many people make New Year's Resolutions but I am not going to do it this year. I never follow through and so there are a couple of things I want to do and I will try and do them but I am not going to say this is what I need to do because then it probably won't get done so why set myself up for disappointment?!
Christmas at home was great. I had a really great time. I wish I could have seen my daughter Melissa but because of her job which she is really liking and doing very well at she couldn't come. I will make sure to see her next time. Hopefully Tim will be home in Feb. I am very excited and hope to be able to see him in the next few months. He was able to call his dad on Christmas Eve and I am glad he was finally able to talk to them. I finally was able to chat with him on yahoo we haven't been able to while I was back East because the computers I had access too don't have yahoo chat and so we couldn't. He sounded pretty good but I think something is up that he isn't telling me. Maybe he will I guess I will see about that.
It snowed the night before we were supposed to leave and we got several inches. I just kept watching the snow come down. I love watching the snow. I wasn't worried about being stuck but Don was. I was kind of like oh well if we get stuck and I know I should have been more worried about maybe not getting back here but I wasn't at all. I know that must be terrible but I don't really care. I wouldn't have minded staying but on the other hand I know I needed to get back to my office which I will be in tomorrow. Oh joy, lol.
Well other than all that not much is happening so I will go for now. Hope you all had a good New Year's Eve. Love you guys!!!
